Any fire risks of proposed solar and (battery) energy storage systems should be considered and appropriately managed to minimise those risks. Potential fire safety issues are discussed in a 2021 paper on this topic [16] and should be noted. A management plan should demonstrate how the facility will be constructed and operated safely, in consultation with Essex Fire and Rescue Service where appropriate.
