Sharon Durdant-Hollamby


Sharon Durdant-Hollamby is Director of Sharon Hosegood Associates, an innovative Arboricultural Consultancy.  Sharon has 11 years’ experience in Essex Local Government Planning Departments followed by 20 years’ experience in private practice. In her first private practice role, she was Managing Director of a privately owned Environmental Consultancy which she built with the company owner, providing ecological, landscape and ecological services.  Sharon Hosegood Associates was formed in 2014 and provides services to the planning and construction industry in Essex, Suffolk, Hertfordshire and London. Her specialities are master planning, technical construction near trees, incorporating trees as part of place making, and community engagement.

Sharon is the immediate Past President of the Institute of Chartered Foresters following 8 years in governance. She is a former member of the British Standards Institute Trees committee, a regular contributor to Trees and Design Action Group and a regular public speaker and chair home and abroad.  With her husband, Noel, they host and produce the international Tree Lady Talks podcast.
