Sarah Touzeau


Sarah is an Urban Designer and Architect with over 10 year’s post-qualification experience in the residential sector with expertise spanning both architecture and urban design disciplines. Sarah is currently a Director in LDA Design’s London Studio and prior to this has experience working in several AJ100 architectural practices.

Her experience includes strategic masterplanning - creating new, characterful and sustainable communities, all the way to the design of individual homes and the creation of inspiring living environments. Her architectural background, and delivery of projects across the RIBA Stages, allows her to understand and incorporate the architectural concepts surrounding masterplanning strategies and developments while understanding the various different disciplines that must be considered to ensure viability and buildability from the outset. Her experience at LDA Design has shaped her approach to masterplanning, putting landscape at the forefront of a place-led response. A landscape-led approach can being change to the life and well-being of a community, whilst enhancing biodiversity.

Sarah has recently led the production of the Uttlesford Design Code as part of the Department for Housing and Levelling Up Communities (DHLUC)’ pathfinder programme. She has been involved in the creation of masterplans across Essex at varying scales including visioning of a sustainable urban extension to Colchester. Across the UK Sarah has led the delivery of exemplar large scale new communities, with a particular focus on creating the best outcomes for people and the environment and embedding local distinctiveness in design.
