Alison is an experienced built environment professional who joined Place Services in February 2025 as a Senior Urban Design Consultant within the Built Environment team. She brings to Place Services insight from working on a range of projects in Norfolk, Essex, Kent, and Bath, from large residential schemes to bespoke dwellings.
Alison’s key area of expertise is in both planning and architectural design, with nearly a decade of experience in architectural practice. She is the Panel Manager of the EQRP, a local independent, multidisciplinary design panel working throughout Essex.
As a Planning & Enforcement Officer at Castle Point Borough Council, Alison determined a variety of applications, delivered findings to committees, and upheld decisions during appeals. She played a key role in revitalizing the pre-application advice service, providing valuable guidance to residents and agents.
Alison's current role also involves serving as the Panel Manager of the EQRP, working with multiple local authorities across the county to deliver a bespoke design quality review service.
