Tim Bell

In 2004, Tim founded Bell Phillips Architects with Hari Phillips after winning a competition to regenerate the 230-unit Brooks Road estate in Plaistow, East London. It has become a multi award-winning practice specialising in housing developments of between 20 and 1,000 homes and there is also have a growing body of work in public realm, education and public building sectors. The practice works on regeneration and direct delivery housing for many of the London boroughs, and for many aspirational, well known developers such as Argent, PegasusLife and Igloo.

Tim has strong links with Essex, having led the design of a number of new housing development in Thurrock, which were all direct delivery commissions from the council. These include The Echoes in Grays, Bruyn’s Court in South Ockenden, Bracelet Close in Corringham and St Chads in Tilbury. He therefore has a good knowledge of the Essex geography and planning policy, particularly in the south of the county.”
