Teresa Borsuk

Teresa Borsuk is an architect, and senior advisor at Pollard Thomas Edwards. Teresa has over 35 years' experience in the housing, mixed-use and regeneration sectors. Her projects embrace the whole spectrum of residential development and other essential ingredients which make our cities, towns and villages into thriving and sustainable places.

Teresa has both designed and delivered a series of successful and award-winning projects She has a keen interest in the underlying issues that influence the design, planning and delivery of better homes and places, and an enthusiasm for complicated, messy and redundant sites. She believes that good design, coupled with an intelligent use of money and a commitment to social and environmental change, makes property development a force for good. All her projects typify PTE's ethos: a thorough understanding of context, a genuine respect for what people want and expect and above all, never forgetting that every "unit" will be someone's home.

Experience gained in decades of regenerating areas of London is now informing her work around Essex, Cambridge, Oxford and Southeast England.

“I grew up in llford - which was then considered to be part of Essex. I spent my childhood and formative years enjoying Essex in particular, Epping Forest, the coast, Constable Country as well as appreciating the impact of the industrial and agricultural "gems" such as Crittall in Witham, Bata in Tilbury, llford Films in llford, Marconi in Chelmsford and Tiptree Jams in Tiptree.

More recently, some of my architectural projects have brought me back to Essex. Notably, The Avenue in Saffron Walden (which was awarded a RIBA National Award in 2016), Central Chelmsford and various projects around Harlow and Basildon.”
