Nicola Storey


Nicola is a Senior Built Heritage Consultant at Stephen Levrant Heritage Architecture. Having worked with both private and public sector organisations, she has worked on a diverse range of projects based throughout London and the South East, in support of planning applications and listed building consents.  Projects have included heritage impact assessments through direct impacts or changes to their setting; Initial outline advice to input into feasibility studies and scoping reports to understand where there may be heritage sensitivities; and, Appeal Statements to support planning appeals. Nicola has also provided support on numerous larger scale new development projects, including land developments and townscape assessments.

Nicola has experience with Essex based projects and development, as she previously worked at Place Services, providing conservation advice to local planning authorities within Essex County Council. Nicola is a full member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC) and has a particular interest in sustainability and energy efficiency in traditional buildings. In January 2020, she was elected as a SPAB Guardian of the Research and Technical Committee to advise on various SPAB matters, casework issues, consultation documents and any input to research where required.
