Lewis Reynolds


Lewis is a dual-qualified Landscape Architect and Town Planner, with a background in fine art and sculpture. He has over 10 years’ experience working in the built environment industry across both the public and private sectors. He is a highly experienced professional, particularly in the delivery of landscape-led project management, development management advice, landscape management, planning enforcement, landscape assessment and all aspects of landscape design. He has delivered specialist services on a variety of projects for a number of public, commercial, utility, charity and private sector clients.

Lewis provides regular landscape-planning advice for Local Authority clients including, Essex County Council, Horsham District Council (including the South Downs National Park Authority), West Suffolk District Council, Basildon District Council, London Borough of Havering, Rochford District Council, Welwyn-Hatfield Borough Council, Central Bedfordshire District Council and many more.  He has experience on number of strategic housing projects in Hertfordshire and Essex including, Birchall Garden Suburb, Harlow-Gilston Garden Town, Sawbridgeworth, Hertford and Bishop's Stortford. He also provides consultation advice to Local Planning Authorities on large-scale ground mounted solar PV systems and complex minerals and waste developments.

He is well-acquainted with the Guidelines for Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment Third Edition (GLVIA3) and other Landscape Institute (LI) Technical Guidance, as well as having a nuanced understanding of planning policy and legislation. He understands that effective management is key to ensuring that landscapes and green infrastructure assets continue to deliver their valued social, economic, political, health, and environmental capital. He is passionate about the holistic nature of landscape architecture and recognises the importance of collaborative working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Lewis is well-placed to provide up to the minute landscape advice and assessment. He is also proficient in landscape management and implementation, contract management, planning appeal and local plan preparation, he has a particular interest in re-wilding, climate change resilience and the use of regenerative design practices.
