The following case studies aim to showcase the best examples of how the principles of the Essex Design Guide can be applied to a range of new developments. From exemplar award winning architecture through to contemporary and vernacular design, the case studies include reference to a wide mix of development scenarios.

The case studies also include some examples of best practice developments from outside of Essex, including developments which seek to address large settlement planning, garden communities, healthy towns and active design.
